To help spread the word about CHD Awareness Week, we
designed the two web banners below that you may use on personal and CHD
websites. Just copy these images, paste them onto your website, and
hyperlink the banner to the CHD Awareness page. More details are
below.
• A large
animated banner
(392 x 72 pixels) •

• A small
animated banner
(234x60 pixels) •

How to copy images
- PC users: Right-click on the image above and choose
"Save Picture/Image As...".
- Mac users: Click and hold down over the image above
and choose "Save This Image As...".
Choose a directory on your hard disk and save the banner
as a .GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) file.

and paste it into your site's HTML.

More detailed instructions
If you are using Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, first place the cursor above the image you want
to copy. Next, if you are using a PC or Unix-based system, click and hold down the right mouse button; on a Mac, hold
down the single mouse button. A small popup menu will appear after a few seconds, offering you a "Save as..." or
"Download image..." option to save a copy of the image to your local hard drive.
AOL users: Your graphics can be read as compressed images, which may cause problems in displaying images. You'll
need to make sure you are "in AOL." Now go to "My AOL," select
Preference, and then select WWW. Turn off the
Use-Compressed-Images option. Finally, select the
Empty-Cache-Now button.
Uploading to your Website
After you download the graphic, you'll want to upload that graphic to your Internet service provider so that it will appear
on your Web site. Visit your Internet service provider's online documentation to learn what steps are necessary for
uploading your HTML files and graphics.
Linking the Banner
Important: to make the banner "click through" to the
CHD Awareness pages, you must hyperlink the
banner to:
http://tchin.org/aware
The exact procedure for adding a link to the banner
depends on the web publishing program that you are using.
If you're viewing your webpage, try right-clicking on the
graphic and look for a menu option that reads something
like Hyperlink.
And a big thank you...
...to our friends at
Panoptic Communications for designing the original banners and for their
commitment to C.H.I.N.
