The Children’s Heart Foundation and the Congenital Heart Information Network, two nationally recognized nonprofit organizations dedicated to fulfilling the need for increased research and support, have joined forces to present ‘Heart Strides 2007’ to conquer Congenital Heart Defects. All proceeds from the event will benefit critically needed research funded by CHF and vital education, awareness, and parent/patient support programs provided by CHIN in the Delaware Valley.

Since 1996, the Children’s Heart Foundation has provided $2.5 million to fund 30 national research projects. The research findings have a direct impact on the diagnosis and treatment of millions of people worldwide living with congenital heart defects. CHF is proud to have provided initial support for projects that have later been granted additional funding by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI).

The Congenital Heart Information Network (also established in 1996) provides reliable information, local and national support services, financial assistance to families in crisis, printed and online educational materials, and resources to families of children with Congenital Heart Defects and adults with CHD.
