Adam Edward

HRHS

Adam, age 6

Adam is a very active 6 year old who happened to be born with a congenital heart defect. Adam has Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome. He has had 3 open heart surgeries and also had a tracheostomy for almost 3 years due to vocal cord paralysis as a result of his first open heart surgery.

Adam goes to his cardiologist every 6 months and at his last visit was told he is a very "boring" case, which we think is super! His cardiologist is great and we are very lucky to have him to care for Adam.

Adam is in kindergarten and loves it. He is eager to go every day. To see him, you would never know all he's been through. He keeps up with his peers and is a bundle of energy!

— Teresa, Adam's Mom (Ohio)
