Andrew Jacob Michael

TOF, B-T Shunt, DiGeorge

A.J.

Andrew Jacob Michael (A.J.) was born on December 10, 2003 at 11:46pm. A.J. was diagnosed with congenital heart disease 5 hours after he was born and was given a 50/50 chance.

A.J. was transferred to Egleston Children's Hospital of Atlanta 5 days after he was born where he was then diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) with Pulmonary Stenosis and DiGeorge Syndrome. A.J. had open heart surgery (B-T shunt) on the 23rd of December.

A.J.'s complete reconstruction will be when he is 4 months old. As for now he is on a good path of recovery, however he is still battling complications with his DiGeorge Syndrome.

— John and Katie, A.J.'s Parents, and sister Allyson (Georgia)
