Ebstein's Anomaly - surgery/ medication

Isaac
Isaac is a wonderful little boy who has had a very long road already at 4 months of age. Isaac was born at 29 weeks, 36 hours after I found out that he had severe Ebstein's anomaly and fetal hydrops. The doctor all but told me he would not survive delivery when i had my ultrasound. The specialist wasn't a lot more encouraging telling me the best odd were 50/50 that he wouldn't survive delivery. Isaac has fooled them all!

After spending 11 weeks in the NICU he came home with me. Granted we are now back in the hospital (for the 4th time). He had open heart surgery yesterday to fix his valve and the surgeon was pleased with the results. So here we are again .. i can't hold him and he's intubated and "poofy" from the fluids. But he's a fighter! Can't tell you how many doctors have told me that he shouldn't have even made it this far.

— Chris, Isaac's mom, and sisters Alyssa and Sierra (Connecticut)
