Kimlan

Large VSD, Coarctation of the Aorta, Bicuspid Aortic Valve, ASD.

Kimlan

Our precious daughter Kimlan was a fighter. She fought hard to live and be with her family. We prayed she would heal and her heart would be fixed with surgery. Our hearts are broken when our precious baby girl passed away.

— Carolyn Le, Kimlan's Mommy (Texas)

  • Born:  December 10, 2002
  • Diagnosis:  My daughter had a rare chromosome defect called Trisomy 12.The doctor said this caused her to have many heart defects, cloacal exstrophy, and a large omphalocele. Her heart defects were a large VSD, Coarctation of Aorta, ASD, and bicuspid valve.
  • Treatment:  In December 2002 she had surgery to repair the coarctation of the aorta. The doctors wanted to wait till she was older to fix the large VSD.
