Complete Congenital Heart Block

Miriam Estelle
Miriam was diagnosed with complete heart block at 24 weeks gestation as a result of maternal antibodies [SS-A (Ro) and SS-B (La)].

Her current beats per minute are in the low 70's and have been for some time. She will need a pacemaker, but we don't know when. We are currently seeing a cardiologist every month for ECGs and every few months for a 24 holter. In fun news, Miriam is a twin to our other sweet daughter, Victoria.

— Rebecca, Miriam's Mom (Overland Park, KS)
