Biography

Raised in Brookeville, Maryland. Trained at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, B.S.N., 1988. Long term career woman, married, mother of two. Member of PDHeart and PCNurse. Currently reside and practice in Milltown, New Jersey. Presently attending The College of New Jersey's Family Nurse Practitioner/Master of Science in Nursing Program, graduate December, 2002.
 

Interests

Experience in adult cardiology nursing, interested in pediatric cardiology, with an emphasis on life span and family oriented congenital heart disease care. Special interest in research, including family's experiences with living with congenital heart disease, and what factors improve outcomes for the total family.

Graduated University of Maryland School of Nursing, B.S.N. in 1988. Held various hospital or office staff nurse positions in Maryland. Office Manager/Nurse from 1991-present.

Presently attending The College of New Jersey's Family Nurse Practitioner/Master of Science in Nursing Program, graduate in December, 2002. Master's research project on "the lived experiences of families with corrected transposition", via The Congenital Heart Information Network's access.

Parent volunteer to The Congenital Heart Information Network, organized blood drive, photo opportunity, assisted with parent conference.
