Email Service Hints
Here are some guidelines for various online email services that will allow
you to get the most from your C.H.I.N. membership. Three basic rules:
- Never report any email from
tchin.org
as spam.
- Add tchin.org
to your "white
list", "safe list", or address book. Most services will not
treat mail from your contacts as spam.
- When posting, make sure your messages contain a plain-text section or
are composed using only plain-text that is, without "styled"
text, colors,
or graphics. Our server can strip this extra information from AOL and
Yahoo messages, but not from Hotmail messages.
Suggested settings for MSN/Hotmail,
AOL, and Yahoo are below.

Guidelines for AOL subscribers:
- Do not press the Report Spam button for email from
tchin.org. If you do so, we are
notified and must immediately remove you from all of our email lists.
If you accidentally press the Report Spam button, please open your
spam folder, find the message that you reported as spam and click the
This is not Spam button at the bottom of the window. If you do
not follow this step, you may not receive tchin.org
email even after you resubscribe to our email lists.
- To improve message delivery, be sure to add the tchin.org
email support lists that you use to your AOL address book. For
example, if you are a PDHeart list subscriber, please add
PDHeart@tchin.org to your address book.
- The tchin.org email lists only
accept plain-text messages. You can send styled email messages, but
our server will extract the plain-text part of the message and the message
may not look exactly as you expect. For best compatibility, send
only plain-text messages.
